We also did the 3 week Grand Voyage to Red Sea and North Africa. Experienced poor qaulity food, no variation and repetitive. Several passengers experienced severe stomach upsets and the hand gel was not encouraged. Entertainment poor. The brochure advertised a library and this was not provided, in fact it was empty. The whole experience was very disappointing would not travel with Voyages of Discovery again and I certainly will not be recommending it to family and friends. It appears to me that VOD did not plan or organise the chartering of this ship very thoroughly and as a consequence the paying passengers suffered. The only good thing about this cruise was the cabin steward the restaurant staff and bar staff. They were very friendly, helpful and efficient.

We agree wholeheartedly with the comments on Ocean Majesty and Vod. We sailed 19 April North Africa Odyssey – The Vod Reps were arrogant, argumentative(with each other in front of passengers) their involvement with passengers and their knowledge of what was going on was nilche!! The food was crap – not the chefs fault cos’ he had to operate by Vod’s standards and orders, the paid entertainment was boring and the bars were closed by 12 midnight some of the passengers were the cabaret – the excursions were very, very overpriced, one trip to Rome was £90 and we done it by train for 9 euros and you could use the ticket on the underground all day too. We were dumped in container bases when we were in port and we had to pay for the privilege to get off the dock. Mo Holland was very rude and stated that she had ‘her supporters’. Relaxing stressfree cruise I don’t think so – never again, we come home wrecked!!

I too suffered 8 days on Ocean Majesty. Having travelled 3 times with VoD I thought that they'd've had a ship up to their normal standards. WRONG. Agree with comments but add For 3 days my loo wouldn't work & every time I emptied my wash basin water in the drains came up from the bathroom floor drain
